Senior Backend Developer GO

Work location: full remote or hybrid (possibility to work in our offices in Bologna, Italy)

Experience: high seniority (5+ years of experience in the same role)

Languages requested: English full proficiency

Compensation: Base salary €45,000, up to €65,000, depending on your experience, technical expertise, and overall fit for the role. In addition, you'll be eligible to participate in our Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).

We’re looking for a new Backend Developer to join our team.

As a member of the Cubbit team, you will help to design, develop and maintain performant and scalable products used by our business customers; you'll deep dive into challenging and exciting brainstorming and pair-programming sessions with your teammates and, most importantly, you'll be part of the future of the cloud.

What you’ll do

• Work on existing and new products by developing software, of course

• Review other teammates’ code and constructively discuss about changes

• Transform technical requirements into tasks to be worked on

• Analyze application’s tracing to spot bottlenecks and issues

What you’ll need

• 5+ years of experience in a backend development role

• Strong knowledge of Go (Golang) programming

• Understanding of cloud services

• Experience with Git

• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (sockets, HTTP, APIs)

• Experience with AI-based and agentic development tools

• Experience with Linux operating systems

• Experience with Distributed Systems

• Good knowledge of relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL.

Bonus point

• Past experience in startup and/or similar industry

• Past experiences with network file systems (NFS/SMB)

• Past experience in remote working with agile methodology

• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Kubernetes operator

• Familiarity with Grafana, OpenTelemetry, application tracing
